SCIO TOWNSHIP

REGULAR BOARD MEETING

June 10, 2025, 7:00 pm

Approved minutes of May 27, 2025 Regular Meeting.

Approved the payment of the bills.

Approved the 2025 Tax Rate Request to be levied and collected on the 2025 Winter Tax Roll.

Approved the GCSI invoice for services rendered.

Approved the proposal from Bendzinski and Company Municipal Finance Advisors.

Approved the Michigan Municipal League 1 year membership.

Approved the annual dues to the Michigan Township Association.

Approved the request from the Field Supervisor for reassignment back to a Field Utilities Technician.

Authorized the allocation of additional educational funds to support continuing education for Fire Science.

Approved a change to the Employee Handbook to include holiday pay for seasonal or temporary employees working a set schedule of at least 24 hours a week and to adopt a Utility Department On-Call Policy.

Authorized the Township Supervisor and Planning Commission Chairperson to sign City of Dexter Master Plan response letter.

Approved the proposal with Neil Miller roofing for the re-roofing of the township owned barn located at the corner of South Wagner and Scio Church roads.

Approved the purchase of a 2025 GMC Sierra pickup truck.

Accepted a donation from Carol Van Curler for improvements to the Van Curler Preserve.
