SYNOPSIS OF April 8, 2025 BOARD MEETING MINUTES
LYNDON TOWNSHIP – 17751 N. Territorial Road, Chelsea, MI 48118. Summary of Minutes – April 8, 2025—Meeting called to order at 7:00 PM. No Public Comment Items Approved: Agenda, Consent Agenda, Bills. Correspondence was briefly addressed. Items Approved: To reappoint Christopher Godwin, Richard Wineland, and James Michael to the Local Roads Advisory Committee for the term May 1, 2025 through April 30, 2027 and appoint Michael C. Wise to the Local Roads Advisory Committee for the term May 1, 2025 through April 30, 2027; Accept the Quote from JRC Services; Recognize the Children Senior Center (CSC) as the senior center of record for Lyndon Township. The Township recognizes the CSC as a viable and active senior center for the Township. Lyndon Township supports the mission of the center financially through a general fund service contract as we cognize that services activities, classes, resources and programs provided by CSC significantly contribute to the well being of seniors and family in the community; Remove ZTA 5-001 2nd half of the Code Cleanup Items from the table for reconsideration; Approve the Zoning Text Amendments (ZTA 25-001) in order to make the zoning regulations comply with state laws, make the regulations more equitable, effective, streamlined, and allowing appropriate development without impacting the public health, safety and welfare of the community. The amendments meet the standards 1-8 under section 19.12 (D) of the zoning ordinance, will have a positive impact on the development of the community, will preserve the character of the community, protect the community from negative impacts, will not result in exclusionary zoning and are compatible with the Lyndon Township Master Plan. The meeting adjourned at 8:25 PM.
