VAE with Alaina Brown

Detroit’s Alaina Brown, who wowed VAE audiences last year in the Ann Arbor Bicentennial Concert, rejoins the ensemble to perform Schubert’s Mirjam Siegesgesang (The Triumph of Miriam), a fiery and dramatic account of the Israelites escape from Egypt, written by Schubert in the last months of his life, for soprano, piano and chorus.  The program will also include music of Garrop, Dilworth, and the great O for the Wings of a Dove by Mendelssohn.
