NOTICE OF ORDINANCE ADOPTION

TO:     THE RESIDENTS AND PROPERTY OWNERS OF THE TOWNSHIP OF DEXTER, WASHTENAW COUNTY, MICHIGAN, AND OTHER INTERESTED PERSONS:

TAKE NOTICE On May 20, 2025, the Township Board of Dexter Township adopted a resolution to amend relevant portions of Section 17.03 and Table 17.1 of the Dexter Township Zoning Ordinance which allows for greater flexibility in the number of animals permitted on each lot, provided such uses comply with Michigan’s Generally Accepted Agricultural and Management Practices (GAAMPs) as adopted by the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. The effective date is June 10, 2025. Copies of the ordinance are available at dextertownshipmi.gov or at Dexter Township Hall at 6880 Dexter-Pinckney Road, Dexter, MI, 48130.
