• NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF AMENDMENTS TO WEBSTER TOWNSHIP
• ZONING ORDINANCE (Ordinance No. 08-11)

Resolution No. 25-22 & 25-23 as adopted on June 17, 2025

At a regular meeting of the Township Board of Webster Township, Washtenaw County, Michigan, held at the Webster Township Hall on June 17, 2025 at 7 p.m., the following resolutions were adopted.

Resolution No. 25-22

A resolution to amend sections 13.120, 13.70 and 13.75 of Article 13 and to replace Article 14 of Webster Township Zoning Ordinance in its entirety of Webster Township Zoning Ordinance in order to address standards regulating stormwater management and steep slopes management.

The resolution was offered by Savander and supported by­­ Harms.

NAY: None; ABSTAIN: None; ABSENT: None

THE TOWNSHIP OF WEBSTER, WASHTENAW COUNTY, MICHIGAN HEREBY ORDAINS:

• Article 13, Section 13.70.B.14.  Requirements addressing steep slopes within the Impact Assessment are added.
• Article 13, Section 13.75.B.8.  Reference to Article 14 regarding the irrigation plan requirement is added..
• Article 13, Section 13.120.D.  Standards related to surface and roof drainage for all single-family and two-family residential dwellings, excluding mobile homes within licensed mobile home parks are amended.
• Article 14. Standards for stormwater management are replaced in its entirety in order to simplify.

Resolution No. 25-23

A resolution to amend the following sections of Webster Township Zoning Ordinance to Sections 8.05, 16.05, and 16.10 of Articles 8 and 16 of the Webster Township Zoning Ordinance in order to updated standards that regulate a Natural Features Impact Statement (NFIS) 

The resolution was offered by Munzel and supported by­­ Vrsek.

NAY: None; ABSTAIN: None; ABSENT: None

THE TOWNSHIP OF WEBSTER, WASHTENAW COUNTY, MICHIGAN HEREBY ORDAINS:

• Article 16, Section 16.05.  Intent of Article 16 to emphasize the preservation, protection, and enhancement of environmental resources within the Township is revised.
• Article 16, Section 16.10. Requirements for a Natural Features Impact Assessment are replaced in its entirety.
• Article 8, Section 8.05.E(3)(b)(xix).  A reference to the Natural Features Impact Statement requirements in Section 16.10 is added.

The ordinance shall take effect seven (7) days after publication of notice of adoption of this ordinance, unless referendum procedures are initiated under MCL 125.3402. If referendum procedures are initiated, this ordinance will take effect in accordance with MCL 125.3402.
